EAA Foundation and UNDP Launch Phase Two of ‘Rebuilding Hope for Gaza’ to Empower 90,000 Students

Date:

In a powerful step toward restoring education in conflict-stricken Gaza, the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation has signed a landmark agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to launch the second phase of the “Rebuilding Hope for Gaza” initiative.

With backing from the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), this new phase aims to support 90,000 high school students by enabling the safe and effective administration of electronic Tawjihi (General Secondary) exams. The initiative ensures access to digital education amid ongoing instability and conflict.

Key to the project are 100 fully equipped educational centers, each outfitted with stable electricity, reliable internet, and secure digital testing platforms. Additionally, 10,000 tablets are being distributed to students through contributions from partners such as Heal Palestine and the Palestinian American Medical Association.

To further reinforce academic readiness, 30,000 students will benefit from structured academic support, including remedial classes and practice exams. A critical psychosocial support component is also integrated to help students overcome trauma and stress, promoting resilience and emotional well-being.

More than a short-term solution, the initiative includes a sustainability plan that will transform temporary exam centers into permanent digital learning hubs—laying the foundation for long-term educational recovery in Gaza.

This partnership between EAA, UNDP, and the Palestinian Ministry of Education reflects a shared commitment to empowering youth and rebuilding futures through education. As Acting CEO of EAA Foundation Mohammed Al Kubaisi remarked, “This is more than an initiative—it’s a promise of hope, resilience, and opportunity for the next generation.”
