PM Launches AI-Driven Building Permit System to Boost Qatar’s Digital Transformation

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on Sunday inaugurated an advanced AI-powered building permit issuance system at the Ministry of Municipality, marking a major milestone in Qatar’s journey toward comprehensive digital transformation.
The innovative system aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of public service delivery by automating and streamlining the building permit process. It will unify technical standards, reduce transaction times, and support engineering and consulting offices through digital processing of construction plans. The first phase of implementation has already achieved around 70 percent completion.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this initiative reflects Qatar’s broader commitment to adopting artificial intelligence technologies across government sectors, aligning with the country’s national vision to modernize operations and elevate service quality.
