Qatar Central Bank Lowers Key Interest Rates by 25 Basis Points

The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) announced a reduction in its key policy rates on Wednesday, signaling a move to support economic growth and liquidity in the financial system. The bank lowered its deposit and lending rates by 25 basis points each.
Following the adjustment, the deposit rate now stands at 4.10 percent, while the lending rate has been reduced to 4.60 percent. The central bank also confirmed a similar 25-basis-point reduction in the repurchase (repo) rate, aligning monetary policy with evolving economic conditions.
The decision reflects QCB’s commitment to maintaining monetary stability and ensuring favorable borrowing conditions amid shifting global interest rate trends.
