QatarEnergy Signs 17-Year LNG Deal with India’s GSPC to Boost Energy Cooperation

Date:

QatarEnergy has entered into a 17-year agreement with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) to supply up to one million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) annually to India, beginning in 2026.
Under the new deal, LNG will be delivered directly to Indian terminals, strengthening India’s long-term energy security. The agreement builds upon the first long-term LNG supply pact signed between the two entities in 2019, reinforcing their mutual trust and strategic partnership.
Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, said the deal underscores both nations’ shared vision of sustainable energy development and supports India’s transition toward a cleaner energy mix.
This long-term supply pact highlights QatarEnergy’s continued efforts to expand its global footprint, promote cleaner fuel alternatives, and contribute to the economic growth of its key energy partners.
