Qatari Prime Minister Joins Global Talks in Paris to Advance Gaza Ceasefire Plan

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani took part in a high-level ministerial meeting in Paris focused on advancing the U.S.-led plan for Gaza and outlining the next steps toward achieving a ceasefire.
The gathering brought together foreign ministers and representatives from Arab, Islamic, and European nations, along with officials from the European Union, to discuss recent developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. Participants reviewed mechanisms for implementing the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, emphasizing the importance of coordinated action to ensure its success.
Sheikh Mohammed underscored the urgent need to fully implement the agreement to build a foundation for lasting peace and stability in the region. He reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
