QCB Declares January 1, 2026 Holiday for Financial Institutions in Qatar

The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has announced that Thursday, January 1, 2026, will be an official holiday for all financial institutions operating in the country.
The decision is based on Article (LI) of Amiri Decree No. (57) of 2025, which defines official working days, national occasions, and public holidays in the State of Qatar.
All banks and financial entities will observe the holiday and resume normal operations according to the approved working calendar.
