Qatar has taken a significant step toward sustainable economic and social development with the inauguration of the Abu Hamour Endowment by Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs HE Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanim.
Developed under the guidance of the General Directorate of Endowments, the Abu Hamour Endowment represents a modern vision for Islamic charitable investments. Director-General Eng. Hassan bin Abdullah Al Marzouqi highlighted the projectâs dual purpose â generating income while advancing charitable causes through the Endowment Fund for Righteousness and Piety.
Completed in just five months and 20 days, the endowment reflects exceptional planning and execution. Located strategically on Central Market Street, the 12,000-square-meter complex features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including retail spaces, showrooms, administrative offices, and 187 parking spots. It is designed to integrate commercial viability with community service.
This model project is a testament to Qatarâs commitment to revitalizing Waqf as a dynamic force in national progress. It aligns with the countryâs vision to harness endowment initiatives for broader economic and social impact, demonstrating how modern engineering can align with traditional values to benefit future generations.
