ESET Empowers Security Teams with New eCrime Reports Against Cybercriminals

Date:

ESET has unveiled a new addition to its cybersecurity arsenal with the launch of eCrime Reports, part of its Threat Intelligence portfolio. This strategic offering addresses the growing need for sophisticated cyber threat intelligence (CTI) amid the rising tide of ransomware and infostealers. The reports provide businesses with detailed insights into actual cyber incidents, offering a look into affiliate-level attack visibility, complete attack-chain timelines, and regional telemetry. This move is aimed at equipping companies with the tools necessary to preemptively bolster their defenses against increasingly complex cyber threats.

Roman Kováč, ESET’s Chief Research Officer, emphasized the value of these reports in providing actionable defense strategies. By integrating technical insights with practical guidance, ESET aims to enhance the capabilities of law enforcement, IT, and security teams. The reports focus on ransomware and infostealers, providing organizations with the knowledge to anticipate and counteract potential attacks effectively. The eCrime Reports come in two tiers: basic and advanced, both offering unique insights derived from global incidents.

The content of these reports is built on proprietary data, uncovering hidden clusters of cyber activity by following tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). This allows organizations to make informed strategic decisions regarding eCrime. The reports go beyond simple monitoring, offering additional intelligence feeds on threats like Android Infostealer and phishing URLs. Kováč highlighted the importance of quality in threat intelligence, stating that ESET’s approach reduces the need for extensive maintenance and manpower, allowing for faster identification and response to emerging threats.

Each report encompasses an Activity Summary, providing an overview of recent cyber campaigns, and a Technical Analysis that details specific threat actors and attack chains. Additionally, a Monthly Digest offers executives a summary of current cyber activities, outlining trends and risks. The eCrime Feed continuously updates with curated indicators of compromise (IoCs) related to ransomware and infostealer activities. Advanced users gain access to ESET AI Advisor and MISP Server integration, enhancing incident interpretation and response capabilities.

ESET’s eCrime Reports join a comprehensive suite of Threat Intelligence offerings, including Premium APT Reports that delve into global advanced persistent threats (APTs) from nations like Russia and China. These reports, supported by global threat hunters, provide in-depth analysis, including geopolitical contexts. Ahead of the RSAC 2026, ESET invites attendees to explore these capabilities at their booth, where they can engage with threat experts and learn more about the company’s robust cybersecurity solutions.
