Qatar and Finland Hold Talks to Boost Trade and Investment Cooperation

Qatar and Finland have held discussions aimed at deepening their economic partnership, with a focus on expanding trade and encouraging new investment opportunities. Mohammed bin Twar Al Kuwari, First Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber, met with Ville Skinnari, Chairman of the Qatar–Finland Friendship Group, during his visit to Doha for the Doha Forum. Officials from both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between their business communities.
The talks highlighted growing trade relations, with bilateral trade reaching approximately QR 354 million last year. Qatar expressed strong interest in exploring investment prospects in Finland, while reaffirming its commitment to supporting Finnish investors seeking opportunities in the Qatari market. The Qatar Chamber noted its readiness to facilitate partnerships and help businesses benefit from the country’s favorable investment climate and incentives.
Finnish representatives praised the strong ties between the two nations and reiterated their intention to advance cooperation in trade and economic sectors. Both sides agreed that increased private-sector collaboration would play a key role in expanding mutual investments and enhancing overall economic engagement.
