Qatar and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Media Cooperation Through New Initiatives

Qatar and Saudi Arabia have agreed to expand cooperation in the media sector, following high-level talks between Qatar Media Corporation Chairperson Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al-Thani and Saudi Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al Dosari in Doha on Thursday.
The meeting, held under the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council’s media committee, focused on developing joint media projects, exchange programs, and training initiatives to strengthen the partnership between the two nations’ media institutions.
Both sides praised ongoing collaboration and highlighted the importance of producing media content that reflects the strong historical and cultural ties between Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The officials also discussed plans for a television drama showcasing the deep-rooted relationship between the two countries and agreed to train young journalists and explore broadcasting rights for national sports events.
A joint working group will be established to implement these initiatives, with monthly meetings alternating between Doha and Riyadh to ensure continued progress and coordination.
