Qatar Secures Three Honors at GCC e-Government Awards 2025

Qatar has achieved remarkable success at the GCC e-Government Awards 2025 in Kuwait, earning three prestigious awards for its excellence in digital transformation and smart service innovation.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) received the Best Government Competencies Building Initiative Award for its “Qatar Digital Academy,” an initiative focused on enhancing digital awareness and empowering citizens to actively engage in national digital transformation efforts.
The Ministry of Social Development and Family was honored in the Best Digital Inclusion Initiative category for its “Sokoon” application, which digitizes Sign Language to support accessibility and inclusion. Additionally, the National Planning Council won first place in the Open Data Initiative category for its “Qatar Open Data Platform.”
These achievements highlight Qatar’s strong commitment to building an inclusive and innovative digital society aligned with the goals of the Digital Agenda 2030, solidifying the country’s leadership in digital governance across the GCC.
