U.S. Security Delegation Visits Qatar for World Cup Cooperation

A high-level security delegation from the United States, representing federal agencies and local police authorities, recently visited Qatar. The delegation was received by Qatar’s Tournament Security Force, which is responsible for securing major events. This visit follows a recent trip to the U.S. by Qatar’s Minister of Interior, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
During the minister’s visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Qatar’s Ministry of Interior and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. This agreement aims to strengthen security cooperation and facilitate the exchange of expertise, particularly in preparation for securing the FIFA World Cup 2026. The two countries are collaborating to ensure the safety and security of future major sporting events.
