Russian Ambassador: ‘Childish’ to Ignore Nuclear ‘Possibility’ in War

Date:

Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov suggested it is “childish” for European nations to ignore the “possibility” of nuclear use, which he says makes a Russian defeat impossible.
Alipov reminded his audience that Russia’s doctrine allows for the use of nuclear weapons if an “existential threat” is perceived.
This, he argued, is the “simple” reason why Russia “can’t be taken over” in the conflict, which is now approaching its fourth year.
He was highly critical of European hopes for a Ukrainian victory, labeling them “unprofessional” and “craziness.”
He also claimed that Donald Trump “understands” this, asserting the former US president knows the war is “lost by Ukraine and the West.”
